The Individuals, Clumps, and Openings workshop in Cle Elum, WA brought together land managers and practitioners to learn about the ICO approach, based on how dry forest structure would be in the absence of widespread fire suppression. The ICO approach was assisted by an app on Android handheld computers, used to help guide thinning decisions in real time and help make forests more resilient.
