This category contains information on individual species response to fire--how fire affects the species and its habitat, and fire management considerations. Information is also provided on the species' taxonomy, distribution, basic biology, and general management. The species descriptions can be used for fire management, restoration planning, compliance documents, and post-fire rehabilitation planning. It may also be helpful in wildlife and habitat management, and as a source of information on the general ecology of individual species. Many descriptions are from the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) syntheses.
