WiRē (Wildfire Research) is an interdisciplinary research collaboration focused on homeowner wildfire risk mitigation and community wildfire adaptedness. This group seeks to improve the bridge between use-inspired research and on-the-ground programs, management, and policy. Research is supported by the U.S. Interagency National Fire Plan, the Joint Fire Science Program, and our individual institutions.

WiRē staff bring diverse expertise in economics, sociology, and wildfire risk mitigation to a multiyear research project on homeowner wildfire risk mitigation and community wildfire adaptedness. Our website showcases some of our academic and applied findings.
