The web-based Interagency Fuels Treatment Decision Support System (IFT-DSS) was designed to provide fire and fuels managers with a single software solution to manage the many data, software applications, and tools available for fuels treatment planning. The Joint Fire Science Program and the National Interagency Fuels Coordination Group developed the IFT-DSS in collaboration with fuels specialists to encourage scientific collaboration across agencies, control long-term costs, and improve the quality of data analysis. This webinar provides an introduction to the IFT-DSS and discuss the workflow scenarios that have been developed to address common goals and objectives in fuels treatment planning. A web-based mock-up of the developing system and a discussion follow.
